We are not getting the unvarnished facts about pandemic

The latest on the coronavirus front – the United Kingdom strain of the virus appears to have come to Canada, and likely through Nanaimo airport. National media reported Sunday that a flight Dec. 15 flew into Vancouver from London with a CV19 carrier on board. A flight from Vancouver to Nanaimo that same day also had a positive test on board.

The passenger, who lives in the Island Health region, returned to B.C. from the U.K. on flight AC855 on Dec. 15.

The Centre for Disease Control flight exposures list says an infected person was on that Air Canada flight from London to Vancouver. Another exposure warning from the BCCDC indicates an infected person travelled from Vancouver airport to Nanaimo, on Dec. 15.

We have been told from the start that flights between Canada and China were banned, and most recently all flights from the United Kingdom were shut supposedly shut down, according to our prime minister. He can tell us all he wants when we are regularly issued flight numbers from Canadian air traffic indicating people with the virus travelling, not only in Canada but internationally.

Do they think we’re not going to figure it out? No flights to and from China? Look at and you’ll see flights heading to and from China to Vancouver. There eas one from Shanghai about 10 p.m. last night and more this morning. And the United Kingdom? During one short skim of the website last night there were flights in the air between London and Toronto. So much for a shut down.

What is hard to swallow is the almost daily reports we get from the CDC listing flights with confirmed cases. Most are Canadian flights, but there are some connecting flights to the U.S. These are the ones that stick out like a sore thumb, so why is passenger air traffic still allowed? Ask that of the church goer, the restaurant owner or the small mom-and-pop business who are shut down.

From the start, provincial health officer Dr. Bonnie Henry has given us almost-daily statistics in an even and comforting tone, but more and more questions are arising about those figures. It’s getting harder and harder to accept the daily menu of CV19 information we are being fed with conflicting but confusing facts. And as per past cases, Dr. Henry won’t identify where those cases come from. Her office has no difficulty in naming seniors facilities where the virus has broken out, or commercial operations like mink ranches or meat packing plants. But anything on Vancouver Island is secret.

Without explanation as to what those figures mean they are just numbers. What does a positive test really mean? Is it a confirmation of the virus and a person being sick, or is it just having to isolate at home for a couple of weeks and not actually what we know as being “sick”? Those figures also include people who were in contact with so-called confirmed cases, but were never tested. They are accepted as positives and go down as confirmed cases. Close enough doesn't count.

It’s also worrisome that figures showing the death toll are said to include anyone who died even from underlying contributing causes along with CV19 is automatically listed as a Covid death. How many died FROM the virus rather than WITH the virus?

True North news service reported that If someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 commits suicide, the Ontario Ministry of Health will record their cause of death as COVID-19. “A death that occurs in an active case of COVID-19 is counted as a COVID-19 death.”

The approach of counting non-COVID deaths as COVID deaths is being done in the name of “inclusion.” Oh, that explaines it. I am not a conspiracy theorist, I just like to get the unvarnished truth.
