Black Press newspapers took Trudeau’s cash
Where is independent press to be found? Not around Vancouver Island!
Rebel News has gotten its hands on the facts and it’s not pretty.
Your money, of course.
Nanaimo News Bulletin got $252,000. Parksville Qualicum Beach News got $152,000. And the other Nine Black Press papers on the Island all got in on the act.
The total was $1,388,000.
Last year the President of Black Press had a letter in these papers seeking money from readers. And he did not provide any financial statements to back up his request.
Did he say they were seeking money from the federal government and how much?
So , do you think these papers can objectively carry information on the federal election and related matters?
This is the sorry state of our democracy.

Nanaimo is still a good place, but the powers that be have let it run to ruin. This is sad to see.
i agree it is the volunteers in Nanaimo that make it such a wonderful place to live. I've lived all over B. C. and came back to Nanaimo to raise my kids and join the family business. Never any regret
