Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau today took aim at the ongoing trucker protest against COVID-19 restrictive measures that arrived in Ottawa over the past weekend, with trucks and supporters occupying the streets of downtown.
“Over the past few days, Canadians were shocked and frankly, disgusted by the behaviour displayed by some people protesting in our nation’s capital,” Trudeau said in a press conference on Jan. 31 from an undisclosed location.
Trudeau characterized the protestors as sporting “Nazi symbolism” and “rascist imagery” and accused the group of desecrating war memorials and engaging in other unruly and destructive behavior, despite repeated statements from organizers that they condemned such behaviour and vowed to remain peaceful.
The protesters seen on Parliament Hill for the most part have been carrying Canadian or other flags. No Nazi flags or signs were visible in the ongoing protests. Some images circulating on social media, however, showed Nazi or other hateful symbols on flags. Other videos on social media showed protestors telling those holding hateful signs to leave.
The protest, which attracted thousands of people, has remained peaceful despite some isolated incidents. In one event, protestors draped and put a mask on the Terry Fox memorial statue, though the items were removed within minutes. In another, protestors had parked on the steps of the National War Memorial and danced on the top of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Another incident involved the staff of a homeless shelter who say they were harassed by protestors demanding food.
In his remarks on Jan. 31, the Prime Minister also criticized politicians who supported the movement, who he says are “exploiting people’s fears.”
“I ask you to think long and hard about the consequences of your actions,” he said.
Trudeau later commented, “This is a moment for responsible leaders to think carefully about where they stand, and who they stand with.”

This Trudeau propaganda is disgusting. He does not understand what the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and the War Memorial symbolize. They are hallowed ground intended to remind us of our obligation to the millions of military personnel and their families who have sacrificed life and limb to keep us free.
Trudeau’s disrespect of our military is a far worse desecration of our monuments than the hooligans he hired to carry false flags and cause trouble so he does not have to acknowledge the millions of Canadians supporting the convoy. They want their rights and freedoms restored, not at the government’s pleasure, but tomorrow at the latest.
When military people and veterans met with Trudeau asking for reasonable compensation for physical and mental injuries suffered in service and for long-promised increases in their pensions, Trudeau cut them off with a curt: “We can’t afford what you want.” That is a desecration of the moral obligation we have to those who serve and have served.
Trudeau thrives on divisiveness. He knows that dividing us by colour, ethnic origin, religious belief, and the unvaccinated weakens our strength and unity. As long as we fight among ourselves, he is not held responsible or accountable.
Wrapping himself in the flag is the last refuge of a true scoundrel. That is why he dragged out unsavoury actions at the War Memorial, carried out by hired hooligans, to make us angry at them instead of at him.

The trucker convoy is a symbol of a united and strong Canada. Trudeau can’t admit that without resigning. The rat is cornered and fighting back with every tool at his disposal.
Trudeau claims that the truckers don’t represent Canadians. Not true. The arrogant, elitist, out-of-touch snobs that populate the Prime Minister’s Office do not represent Canadians.
Trudeau: “This is a moment for responsible leaders to think carefully about where they stand and who they stand with.” That is true. If Trudeau believes he can quell the trucker initiative and get back to business as usual, he is mistaken. The trucker convoy is just the beginning of freedom protests.
As George Washington observed at the start of the American War of Independence, “We must all hang together, or assuredly we shall all hang separately.” That is why Trudeau is so frightened of a united Canada. If we unite, we deprive him of his kingdom.
Politicians who side with the government instead of the people will end their careers much sooner than they expect. The blundering and disrespect for the people who pay the bills have to end.
